One hour, One million people, United in Peace. Imagine This lifetime, This humanity, United in Peace. When I met Dean at the MBS Festival on Sunday, after a full day as a Volunteer at HH The Dalai Lama Melbourne Teachings, it was an extension of the beautiful energy of kindness that The Dalai Lama reminds us of when he says “Be Kind whenever possible, it’s always possible.”
The best place to start is always at home, with yourself. When we are kind to ourself we naturally want to extend that kindness to others, or others will notice the gentle kindness you have, and want that peace and gentleness too. Love & Peace unite.
“The Moment of Peace” is perfectly timed in this week of extraordinary alignment worldwide.
Wednesday 15th June 2011 – World Invocation Day, held on the 7th Full Moon each year. In 1945, the Tibetan MasÂter, Djwhal Khul, gave to humanÂity a “World InvoÂcaÂtion” to be used by peoÂple from all walks of life, in all reliÂgions and in all cultures. Each year, since 1952, people everywhere have celebrated World Invocation Day, joining in the affirmation of the oneness of humanity and the responsibility of humanity for the working out of the divine Plan on earth, a world of justice, unity and peace. The Great Invocation can be read by clicking here.

Thursday 16th June 6.15am (Melbourne, Australia) a Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse 24o 23’ Sagittarius, very close to the Galactic Centre of 26o 52’ Sagittarius. The Galactic Centre is the rotational centre of our Milky Way galaxy. According to the NASA Eclipse website, the total phase lasts 100 minutes. If you looked outside around 5.15am (Melb, Australia), you could see the hazy red silhouette of the moons exact alignment with our Sun illuminating our way forward for collective peace.
Tuesday 21st June is the Winter Solstice of the Southern Hemisphere, the shortest day and longest night of the year, a time of rebirth, celebrations, festivals, gatherings and rituals. Each day I am grateful and acknowledge the wonder and beauty on Earth. Each day I spend a moment in stillness and mindfulness, grateful for each day, which brings me joy and warms my heart.
“The Moment of Peace” is a profound stepping stone for everyone to experience the innate strength in silence. The more humanity unites and lives from this place of inner silence, stillness and strength then together humanity will unite in peace, love and compassion.
I teach Stillness Meditation in my local area and give talks regularly to community groups, local libraries and support groups on the basis of my book “How to Overcome Stress Naturally, with a foreword by His Holiness The Dalai Lama.” Mini-meditations and Mindfulness at the end of each chapter. I have been meditating for over 18 years, growing peace and stillness within to the point I experience life as a living meditation. The strength and compassion that stems from a deep love within has me relate to His Holiness “Compassion and tolerance are not a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength.” Connect with the stillness and silence within and your life will transform, I promise you.
